Rosalie Day White's Bio
Rosalie Sunderland Day White received her B.A. and M.Ed. from Lynchburg College. She attended the Washington Studio School in Washington, D.C., and undertook independent study in Paris, France on three occasions. Her work has been exhibited in venues such as the Courtyard Gallery in Washington D.C., the Purdue University Galleries, the Wichita Center for the Arts, Kansa; the Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, Virginia; and L'Hermitage, Rueil-Malmasion, France. Her work is included in private and corporate collections in the United States, Germany and France.
Ms. Day White is one of the Founders of The Beverly Street Studio School in Staunton, Virginia. Her excellence as a teacher earned her a listing in Who's Who Among America's Teachers for two different years and she was selected Virginia Governor's School Educator three times. The City of Lynchburg chose her to represent it in an artistic exchange exhibition with its sister city in France. Currently, she teaches painting at Art on 12th and The Academy Center of the Arts. |
