Anne Novak's Bio
2020 began for me in 2019 when I ordered 550 grapevines to be planted in a tiny "friends and family" vineyard at our house.
The vines arrived at the beginning of April, the week I was in bed with a lightweight case of Covid. So when my doctor told me that I needed to get plenty of fresh air, I said, "CAN DO!" I hopped up and planted the long awaited beauties. Raleigh made sure I had plenty of shade, water and help. Between closing the shops and reopening the shops and trying to shepherd 550 vines through a serious bout of downy mildew it's been quite a year. But it goes to show that you never know what the future holds, so you might as well enjoy today. It's been a great adventure. I wouldn't trade it for anything. |
